Get in the Game™ is both a concept and a charity. G.I.T.G. was
developed in the summer of 2002 by Jim Lyle after being diagnosed
(during Karin’s 5th month of pregnancy) with the terminal illness
called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or commonly known as Lou
Gehrig’s disease. There is no cure for ALS and Jim’s battle ended in
November of 2007. It was his desire for everyone to “Get in the Game™”,
to “help those who cannot help themselves”.
